Mike and Ali Vass
Mike (fiddle, vocals) and Ali (piano, vocals) are two of the best young exponents of
traditional music in Scotland. Playing a varied mix of traditional and contemporary
tunes, songs with close vocal harmonies and footstompin’ jigs and reels.
Lester is a member of the internationally acclaimed acappella trio Coope Boyes and Simpson,
a superb songwriter and a fine solo performer.
Dana and Susan Robinson
Songs of rural America, Dana and Susan make music that is a perfect blend
of old and new, bringing roots and tradition to contemporary songwriting.
Craig, Morgan and Robson
A harmony master-class. Whether a Shetland melody, a hymn from the Ozark
mountains or contemporary ballad, the trio create a sound which is all their own.
Mike Freeman and Tania Opland
Anglo-Alaskan duo play Hammered dulcimer, guitar, violin, cittern,
Native American flute, percussion… with songs in many languages and
rhythmic roots from Siberia to Morocco.
Four lads(?) from The Black Country who sing four part harmony
unaccompanied songs of character, depth, pathos and…… volume!.
Master fiddler. Tom’s tunes and songs, mostly traditional and many
from the North East, are performed in his wonderfully distinctive style.
Bella Hardy with Chris Sherburn
Bella is a star in the making. Mesmerising voice and intricate fiddle,
she is joined here by ace concertina player, Chris Sherburn of “Last Night’s Fun”.
Hailing from the North East, Bob is the consummate professional.
His velvet voice, lovely guitar work and wonderful songs make this a night not to miss.
Locally based, Mark is a fine singer, songwriter and guitarist with a style
somewhere between contemporary folk and John Denver!
