Due to Government recommendations regarding the risk of Corona Virus COVID-19 we have reluctantly been forced to suspend our Guest Nights and Singarounds until further notice with immediate effect. Please check the website and social media for news of when we return, which sadly will not be for many weeks. Meanwhile best wishes to all lovers of Folk Music from Burton Folk Club – please stay safe!

Burton Folk Club is a continuation of the Brewtown Folk Club that was successfully run by Carol and John Worker for many years.

Carol and John have decided to retire after bringing the club to its present status and developing it’s reputation as being one of the finest Folk Clubs in the area.

Geoff Noble has stepped up and agreed to take on the mantle of running the club, together with a small group of helpers and we hope to continue with the legacy left to us from Carol and John .

We have enjoyed a very successful Autumn/Winter Season (2017) at the Beacon but late during the Spring/Summer Season (2018) we learned, at very short notice, that our tenure here was to end.

We have been very fortunate in securing a super room, upstairs in Evershed Suite of the Albion, on Shobnall Road and will continue to operate from here starting May 2018.

The pub has an excellent menu for those wishing to eat before our Guest Nights and Singarounds commence, as well as a large car park and garden.

A large selection of beers, wines and spirits is available and interval drinks can also still be ordered in advance.

It was regrettable having to move from the Beacon, especially at such short notice but the feedback we are getting from the Staff at the Albion is very encouraging and we hope our relationship will be a lengthy one.
